Location. Located on Maui's west coast in Wailea, Hawaii, The Grand Wailea Resort is adjacent to Wailea Beach and one quarter mile from Wailea Blue Golf Course. Wailea Tennis Center, Shops at Wailea and Polo Beach are one mile away.
Hotel Features. The Grand Wailea Resort features eight restaurants and bars including Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, named after Hawaii's state fish. Humuhumunukunukuapua'a is a Polynesian thatch roofed restaurant floating on a saltwater lagoon and serves fresh island fish. Bistro Molokini, showcasing views of the Pacific Ocean and distant islands, features an exhibition kitchen with a kiawe wood burning oven. Bistro Molokini serves island and California cuisine. The hotel includes a business center, conference rooms and wireless Internet access for a fee. Wedding services are available at the hotel's seaside chapel. The hotel offers art tours featuring works of Botero, Leger, Picasso and Warhol. The hotel features a water complex with nine interconnected pools. The 4,850 square foot, adults only Hibiscus Pool, is made from more than 2.2 million tiles, including 630,000 pieces of Mexican glass mosaic tile. Wailea Canyon Activity Pool features four jungle pools, four tile slides, a white water rapids slide and a Tarzan pool with a rope swing. A water elevator, six waterfalls, caves and an infants' pool are included. This pool area features a sandy beach, three Jacuzzis and a sauna. The hotel's health club includes sports courts, fitness classes and personal training for a fee. Camp Grande, with half and full day programs for children, features Hawaiian lei making and Hawaiian storytelling for a fee.
Guestrooms. The 780 guestrooms at Grand Wailea Resort feature private lanais and sitting areas. Coffee or tea is provided. Rooms include fully stocked refreshment centers. Accommodations include in room safes. Rooms include cable television and high speed Internet access. Select rooms offer wireless Internet access. Select rooms feature views of the hotel's garden, the ocean or Mount Haleakala. Italian marble bathrooms contain separate tubs, glass enclosed showers and bathrobes.
