Opened in 2006, the Steigenberger Strandhotel Zingst features traditional maritime style architecture and is located by the beach, overlooking the Baltic Sea in the north German resort of Zingst. The 121 guestrooms over three floors have light decor and contemporary furnishings and open onto balconies. All include separate seating areas and are equipped with satellite television, high speed Internet connections, direct dial phones, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include robes, slippers and complimentary toiletries. Hypo allergenic bedding and cribs available on request.
The hotel houses a full service health spa, which includes a sauna, steam room, fitness equipment, and offers a range of massage and beauty treatments Fitness enthusiasts can work out on cardiovascular equipment in the gym and swim lengths in the indoor pool. The hotel also features an outdoor pool surrounded by parkland, where guests can relax with drinks. The Gartenrestaurant serves international specialities and regional food from Mecklenburg Vorpommern in a contemporary setting, and opens onto a terrace for outdoor dining. The Strandbar features beach themed decor and serves drinks and snacks. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby, and guests can browse for souvenirs in the gift shop. Multilingual staff are on hand to look after valuables, provide room service and assist with tours and excursions. Motorists will find garage parking available on site (surcharge). The Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park can be found 500 metres from the hotel and guests can explore the forest of Darss seven kilometres from the hotel. The 107 foot Darsser Ort Lighthouse is 12 kilometres away. Rostock Airport is 100 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 70 minutes.

Trains connect Rostock to Barth, 15 kilometres away, from where bus services run to the Fischland Darss Zingst Peninsula. Alternatively, taxis are available outside the airport and the fare to the hotel is typically EUR150. The best way to see the surrounding countryside is by car.
