The Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten is a traditional style, family run Bavarian hotel, located directly opposite the train station and four kilometres from the Zugspitze. The 54 guestrooms have light, simple decor with carved light wood furniture. All of the rooms open up onto balconies and enjoy breathtaking views of the Bavarian Alps. Amenities include satellite television, direct dial phones, Internet access and safes.
Guests can take advantage of ski storage and the ski shuttle which stops outside the hotel. The nearby fitness centre is available to guests at a discounted rate, and guests can relax with a coffee in the lobby, and catch up with current events with complimentary newspapers. Wireless Internet access is available for those with laptops, and other practical amenities include a childcare service and free parking for those travelling by car. The Restaurant Hubertus offers an extensive range of international and authentic Bavarian dishes, served for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed and informal setting. Visitors are well placed to explore the many places of interest; Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain is four kilometres from the hotel, the beautiful Ettal Monastery is 10 kilometres away, Linderhof Castle is 15 kilometres and Bad Tolz is 20 kilometres from the hotel. Those wanting to travel further afield can visit the beautiful city of Munich, or cross the border into Austria and visit Innsbruck, with its excellent ski links and lively atmosphere, both 75 kilometres distant. Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport is 115 kilometres (72 miles) from the hotel, approximately 100 minutes by car.

Commuter trains and buses connect the airport with Munich city centre. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. There is a direct train to Garmisch Partenkirchen station. Munich's extensive U bahn underground system is the most efficient way to get around the city. You can also use the same tickets on the S bahn commuter trains, buses and streetcars. Taxis are quick, but quite expensive.
Driving directions: From the airport take the A95 in the direction of Munich, pass Oberau, after the tunnel exit at Partenkirchen, turn right and the hotel is directly opposite the train station.
