The Hotel Bergruh is a traditional Bavarian style hotel overlooking the Weissensee Lake and Allgaeu mountains, 250 metres from Hohes Castle. This three floor hotel features 29 guestrooms, all of which have simple Bavarian style decor and furnishings and come equipped with satellite television, minibars and safes. Rooms open onto balconies or terraces.
The hotel's beauty centre has a tanning salon as well as an indoor pool, sauna and steam bath; numerous Ayurvedic and oil based massages are available for extra relaxation. The Ludwig Stuben restaurant serves local and international dishes in a rustic Bavarian style diner, with low lighting, wood panelled ceiling and simple wood tables, chairs and bar tops. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and guests can while away the evenings with drinks in the 'Alptraum', designed in the style of an alpine mountain hut. Complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby and staff can assist guests with advice on how to make the most of the surrounding area. There are numerous nearby castles, including Hohes Castle, 250 metres away. Guests can follow the Romantic Road past the famous royal castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, four kilometres away. Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC) is 160 kilometres from the hotel, around 120 minutes by car.

Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. Commuter trains and buses connect the airport with Munich city centre, from where onward rail services to Fuessen are available. The train station in Fuessen is less than a kilometre from the hotel. Driving directions: From the airport, take the A95 south, then the B23 towards Weissensee. At the end of this road, turn left on the B17, towards Schwangau. Continue through to Fuessen.
